Senior Project
is a program designed to prepare a senior for
the working world. Senior students have the
opportunity to research an occupation of
interest and job shadow professionals in their
chosen fields. The program is developed
into two semesters. During the first
semester, students concentrate on a specific
occupational field. They research the
occupation, colleges and universities that offer
programs relevant to their career choice,
complete scholarships, participate in a series
of job shadows, and finalize their physical
projects.

During the Senior Project process, students
prepare a portfolio that includes analysis
of occupations, reflections of job shadows, a
physical project, thesis and research paper, and concludes with a
presentation to a board of professionals.
For the duration of the first semester, under the
direction of Mr. Johnson, students complete job
shadows and their physical projects.
Mr.
Tolman oversees the second semester of Senior
Project, which focuses upon research papers and
senior boards presentations. |
