Mrs. Gordon teaches

Mrs. Gordon was born in Seattle, Washington and
grew up in Eugene, Oregon with five brothers and
one sister.
Here she grew
up on the river as her family was into
canoe-racing. She raced on every river in
Oregon, California, Washington, Idaho, Montana
and Wyoming. Her younger brother John
participated in three Olympics in the
Sprint-Kayak event. Her father still participats
in Masters Games all over the world, mostly in
Outrigger Canoe events.
She worked her way through college working in a
grocery store. Her college experience included
spending four years at Lane Community College in
Eugene where she acquired her associates degree
and Graphic Design certificate. She transferred
to the University of Oregon in 1989 to finish
her Bachelors of Science in Education. While in
college, she met and married her husband of 22
years.
Together they have five wonderful children, Emma
who will graduate from U of O this year in
English. Harley who will graduate from the
University of Oregon next year in Geology.
Ruthie who is a freshman at TVCC. Ester a
sophomore at AHS and Mary, a second grader.
She says "Teaching is like performance art, I
get to stand-up before a captive audience and
try to not only teach them, but hopefully
inspire my students to achieve their dreams"
This is her 19th year teaching. She says "I love
it here at Adrian, we have THE best kid
