MRS. VANCORBACH

The sound of music comes from the direction of our music teacher, Mrs. VanCorbach.  She teaches the band, choir and leadership classes.  Mrs. VanCorbach is currently in her seventh year of teaching. She completed her masters degree in Special Education at NNU in 2004. She enjoys scrap booking, gardening, swimming, and walking. Mrs. VanCorbach is a vocal and piano performer.

Lorine VanCorbach has wanted to be a music teacher at a public school all her life. She is now fulfilling her dream as a teacher at Adrian High School.

She is married, and has 3 children, all girls. The family lives in Adrian, Oregon and are the Dorm Parents for 6 Foreign Exchange Students who come to Adrian.

Mrs. VanCorbach is very skilled at the piano. As a 13 year old girl in Washington, she began teaching piano lessons. Besides playing piano regularly for, her classes, she is a pianist for her church worship team. On top of it all, she still teaches piano for kids after school.

After high school, Mrs. VanCorbach worked as a dental assistant. Three years later she moved to Germany with her husband, who was in the Air force and stationed there. While in Germany, the VanCorbachs' had their first child, Jinell.

Relocating from Germany three years later, the VanCorbachs moved to North Dakota where they were stationed for nearly 4 years. This is where the twins, Madolynne and Rebekah, were born.

The next adventure for the family was packing the boxes and moving to Nampa, Idaho where Mrs. VanCorbach re-entered school and pursued a degree in music education.  Mr. VanCorbach continued working as an electrician. In 2001, Mrs. VanCorbach was hired to teach music at Adrian High School, and enrolled her three children in the Adrian District School system.

Last year, Mrs. VanCorbach was excited to take the Adrian Advanced band to the OSAA state band competition. It was a fun filled, wonderful experience. She hopes to go again in 2008 and is planning to take the Advanced band to a festival at Disneyland in the future.

Mrs. VanCorbach has three mottos:

"If at first you don't succeed, try, try again."

"Never Quit."

"Whether you think you can or whether you think you can't, you are ALWAYS right!"
