After growing up in Yakima, Washington and spending her senior year in Bend, Oregon, Mrs. Yano has made Oregon her home. Mrs. Yano obtained her Bachelor's and Master's in Industrial Arts Education at Oregon State University. Her career continued for ten years at Ontario Middle School teaching Shop. After having three children, Mrs. Yano chose to become a substitute teacher while she raised her three daughters. Within her five year time span substituting, Mrs. Yano held two long term sub positions in special education and fell in love with a new branch of teaching. In order to make special education her main career she attended Northwest Nazarene University to obtain her Special Education Endorsement. Mrs. Yano loves working with kids and developing strong relationships with her students.  
Hobbies:   Gardening, Reading, Softball, Mrs. Yano enjoys anything outdoors.
Favorite Books:   Ender's Game, The Life of Pi, anything Sci-Fiction.
