Children are laughing in history class; it sounds
funny, but it is true in Adrian High School.
We always hear students in Mrs. Zimmerman’s class
laughing. Mrs. Zimmerman enjoys teaching middle
school and high school in Adrian. She teaches mathematics,
geography, and language arts in the middle school, and
she teaches social studies in the
high school. |

She makes the
difficult subjects into easy subjects; she always has
activities during World Studies and U.S. Studies class, which
help students better understand the material. She also has
videos about history to show her students, which makes it
easier to learn in an entertaining way.
Students always enjoy her class,
and most of the students in Adrian say Mrs. Zimmerman
is their favorite teacher! Everyone has learned a lot from
her classes. |

Mrs. Zimmerman was born in Nampa, Idaho.
She went to the Adrian School District from kindergarten through her senior
year, and graduated from
Adrian
High School. After that,
she went to Eastern
Oregon
University to get her teaching degree
in LaGrande, Oregon. She
then started her
teaching career in 2000 in which she taught in both the LaGrande and Ontario school districts. Finally, she ended up in
Adrian; her home town and the school she graduated from. She has
been teaching in
Adrian since 2006, and she said she likes Adrian because it is a
small school atmosphere.
She is married to Matt Zimmerman—who is a local horse trainer—and they have 2 daughters; Mesa
and Mylie. She likes to
spend time with her family, traveling, reading, participating in church activities, cooking, and taking
care of her pets. She considers herself a lucky woman
because she surrounded by her family that live in this area.
